2 Days of Training for Commercial Makeup Artists

DAY 1.

We will talk about the film industry of Toronto, how to get in there and will go through the details like who is who on a set and what are the main duties of a commercial makeup artist. Later we will discuss the main rules of working on any commercial set: what should be in your kit and what are the secret products of every professional makeup artist; how to work with various lighting setups; when & how to do the touch-ups; the main difference between the natural commercial look and a certain character’s makeup; etc.

We will go over your own makeup as well as recommend products as an addition, according to your skin type and age group. Allowing yourself to learn everything about makeup application, will save you time and money for every future event!

DAY 2.

We will cover the theory of: how to prep skin properly; how to deal with textured/scarred/infected/irritated skin; how to apply HD makeup that lasts more than 14 hours; what textures you should be working with and which to avoid; in what cases and how to do a proper airbrush makeup; what is male grooming; tips on how to cover tattoos, beard, scars, etc; how to do simple special effects (tiredness, eye redness, sweat, bruising) and more.
