WHAT ARE RUSSIAN VOLUME LASHES?

For those of you that want that full, incandescent, and sassy image, the Russian Volume lashes are the perfect fit. The volume technique gives you a fuller look by combining 2-8 light extensions and making a fan out of them. The process then involves applying each fan to one of your individual, natural lashes. This is perfect for those of you who don’t have many lashes, or just want more of a dramatic image.

All lash extensions manipulated in this process are very lightweight, soft, and fine so as to give that flawless dramatic image.

We can make a number of sets ranging from a little sassy to powerfully dramatic and full. Each volume set is labeled by a number following the letter “D”. For example: 2-3D signifies that each fan made for you will be made up of 2-3 lightweight extensions. These are then applied to each of your individual natural lashes. An increasing number of salons and spas are starting to offer this service because of how soft, fuller, and more natural looking these extensions are.

The technique involves the isolation of each individual eyelash. Once isolated we will then apply a single extension to each of the client’s natural lashes. The lash count may vary from 1 lash to as much as 8 lashes, all depending on the look you’re going for.

This technique is not only lighter, but it uses less glue and lets you decide the length of the lashes. Some might say it’s impossible to apply more lashes using less glue, however with this method we wrap the adhesive around the natural lash. All of the extensions are designed to support each other and by using less bonding agents, we are ensuring the client suffers less irritation as well as allergies. When applied with proper finesse and technique, our extensions should last you as long as it takes natural eyelashes to run through their life cycle. Your own eyelashes may force the extensions off as they start to grow out themselves. This procedure takes about roughly 30 to 40 minutes longer than the classic lashing procedure. This time can be halved if done by experienced professionals. Results may vary from person to person, but with the proper care and treatment our lashes should last you anywhere between 3 and 4 weeks.

We recommend our clients return for regular refill and maintenance appointments after the initial application of the extensions. Clients can go a longer time in between visits for refills with russian volume sets as opposed to classic ones. This is due to the fact that the russian volumes are lighter in weight than classic extensions, so long term wear is even more viable. If you have the volume sets we advise you to revisit us in 3-4 weeks because of the longer lasting effects the volume sets have. We advise you to not wait a lengthy amount of time before getting a refill. Anything past 4 weeks is considered a new set and not a refill.

By far the best experience I have ever had with any permeant makeup service. All the staff was extraordinary, they thoroughly explain the process to you before they begin to make you comfortable. They were sure to check in with me throughout the service and ask if I was comfortable. I have never gotten so many compliments on eyelashes and brows. I have already gotten my brows done twice by them, and will definitely be going back again. Also, I’ve gotten my eyelashes done over a dozen times by them and have never gotten a better job. I had Yulia do permanent upper eyeliner for me this May 2023. I cannot say enough nice things about her, and the work that she did!She was professional, and yet personable. I was recently a model for a student in Alberta to get my eyebrows done and I was so blown away by how my eyebrows turned out. I love them! I was super worried about getting my eyebrows done by a student but the ladies at HD are excellent instructors and make sure all eyebrow measurements are perfect before allowing a student to proceed. I previously had another ‘professional’ artist do my brows and it was a disaster and resulted in removal however some of the old tattoo was still noticeable- after the student finished my brows I couldn’t even see the old tattoo!I’m so happy With the results and would absolutely be a model again if you ever come back to Edmonton 🙂

I would recommend the HD Beauty online training experience to any student who is looking to learn a new skill or advance in their skill. I took the HD Beauty online training for Lash Lift & Tint and I thoroughly enjoyed the learning experience. HD Beauty Academy Online provides a downloadable PDF with the entire course curriculum and numerous video content illustrating the procedure. Further to that, they also provide content on marketing, aftercare etc. They also provide on-going support with any question or inquiries you may have after you complete the course online. In order to receive a certificate, I had to submit before and after pictures of my work on three models. Victoria and Kristina are very professional and invested in their students success. I can't say enough about this place! I have done my permanent make-up here for my eyebrows, my lips and my eyeliner. I am blonde and have very fair skin, so I always need a bit of colour to make my features stand out. Having my eyebrows and my eyeliner tattooed makes so much difference whenever I am make-up free. I love this added brightness around my eyes the moment I wake up, while still looking very natural. Victoria (the owner of the salon) is a true professional who continues to learn and to improve. They always have some new products, pigments and tools. The place is always neat and clean (a very important feature when you work with needles). I am always greeted with a smile, hot coffee and cheerfulness. Definitely recommend and will be coming back for touch ups and other services!
