For hyperpigmentation, we inject a lighter pigment under the target area to make it match the surrounding skin. Hypopigmentation treatment, however, requires injecting a darker pigment under the affected area to darken it and make it match the rest of your skin.

Are You the Right Candidate for Scar Camouflage?

For you to undergo scar camouflage treatment, your scar should be +6 months old. This way, the scar tissue on the area is healed and it’s safe for us to go ahead with the procedure. Moreover, scar camouflage is most suitable for areas that aren’t exposed to the sun. Keep in mind that scar camouflage doesn’t cover up raised scars; it only reduces their appearance. After your scar treatment, you will experience some redness in your skin. We also recommend gently cleaning the area with lukewarm water with non-alcoholic soap after 24 hours. You may also expect the treated area to scab, so apply an aftercare ointment to the scab 2-4 times every day until it completely heals. I took the in person nano brows and powder brows course with Victoria, and I really enjoyed it! I loved that I could watch tutorials and theory first. This helped me to arrive with questions and practice before the in person appointment. Also, they are able to provide models which is a nice plus in this industry (vs trying to get your own models). Victoria is patient and guided me when I was doing the techniques to the models. Finally, they provide financing. By far the best experience I have ever had with any permeant makeup service. All the staff was extraordinary, they thoroughly explain the process to you before they begin to make you comfortable. They were sure to check in with me throughout the service and ask if I was comfortable. I have never gotten so many compliments on eyelashes and brows. I have already gotten my brows done twice by them, and will definitely be going back again. Also, I’ve gotten my eyelashes done over a dozen times by them and have never gotten a better job. They pay close attention to exactly what I request for and always leave me more than satisfied. Their services are also done in a timely manner and last a long period of time.

I had Yulia do permanent upper eyeliner for me this May 2023. I cannot say enough nice things about her, and the work that she did!She was professional, and yet personable. She explained the process to me first, and made me feel more at ease about it.I went in super nervous about the idea of tattooing my eyelid, but I’m so glad I did it! I was recently a model for a student in Alberta to get my eyebrows done and I was so blown away by how my eyebrows turned out. I love them! I was super worried about getting my eyebrows done by a student but the ladies at HD are excellent instructors and make sure all eyebrow measurements are perfect before allowing a student to proceed. I previously had another ‘professional’ artist do my brows and it was a disaster and resulted in removal however some of the old tattoo was still noticeable- after the student finished my brows I couldn’t even see the old tattoo!I’m so happy With the results and would absolutely be a model again if you ever come back to Edmonton 🙂

I would recommend the HD Beauty online training experience to any student who is looking to learn a new skill or advance in their skill. I took the HD Beauty online training for Lash Lift & Tint and I thoroughly enjoyed the learning experience. HD Beauty Academy Online provides a downloadable PDF with the entire course curriculum and numerous video content illustrating the procedure. Further to that, they also provide content on marketing, aftercare etc. They also provide on-going support with any question or inquiries you may have after you complete the course online. In order to receive a certificate, I had to submit before and after pictures of my work on three models. Victoria and Kristina are very professional and invested in their students success. I can't say enough about this place! I have done my permanent make-up here for my eyebrows, my lips and my eyeliner. I am blonde and have very fair skin, so I always need a bit of colour to make my features stand out. Having my eyebrows and my eyeliner tattooed makes so much difference whenever I am make-up free. I love this added brightness around my eyes the moment I wake up, while still looking very natural. Victoria (the owner of the salon) is a true professional who continues to learn and to improve. They always have some new products, pigments and tools. The place is always neat and clean (a very important feature when you work with needles). I am always greeted with a smile, hot coffee and cheerfulness. Definitely recommend and will be coming back for touch ups and other services!
